Hawthorn jam by Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades can sweeten afternoon delicacies to please you and your guests. Bake these homemade, fluffy butter croissants and serve them alongside our hawthorn jam.


  • 300 gr. flour
  • 1 yeast sachet
  • 10 gr. salt
  • 50 gr. sugar
  • 200 gr. butter
  • 120 ml water
  • 160 ml milk
  • 1 egg

  1. In the mixer add the flour, salt, yeast and sugar. Then add the milk, water and butter and knead it to form a dough.
  2. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and put it in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  3. Place the dough on your workbench, roll it out and then fold the edges inwards like an envelope.
  4. Dust with flour and roll it out in a rectangular shape.
  5. Dust the center with flour and fold one edge over the other.
  6. Repeat the same process 3 times.
  7. Cut the dough into triangles and roll them inwards, forming the croissants.
  8. Bake the croissants on a non-stick paper for about 20 minutes, at 200 degrees in the oven.
  9. Serve them alongside Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ hawthorn jam and enjoy!
