A traditional recipe for a sweet, rich pie, with ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ thyme honey that you will love.


  • 300 gr. ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ thyme honey
  • 1 kg anthotyro or myzithra cheese (or 500 gr. each)
  • 7 medium eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 100 gr. sugar
  • lemon zest, from 1 lemon

For serving:

  • ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ thyme honey
  • cinnamon
  • walnuts or almonds
  • fresh thyme leaves


  1. Preheat the oven to 180oC.
  2. In a bowl mix ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ thyme honey, the cheese, broken into pieces and mix well until the ingredients are nicely combined.
  3. Add the eggs, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, lemon zest and mix with a ladle.
  4. Pour the mixture in a buttered and floured pan and bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool well.
  5. Spread ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ thyme honey on top of the honey pie, sprinkle with cinnamon, walnuts or almonds and thyme and enjoy!
