A Greek style lemon and herbs marinated roast lamb with lemon roast potatoes, that is perfect for a special dinner. Enjoy with a glass of Geroklima by “Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades”.


  • 1 kg of lamb
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 250 g water

For the marinade

  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • zest and juice from 2 lemons
  • 3-4 sprigs of rosemary
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oregano


  1. Preheat oven to 170°C.
  2. Cut the potatoes and add them into a baking pan. Place the lamb on top of them.
  3. Mix in a blender the mustard, honey, lemon zest and juice, rosemary leaves, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and beat well until the ingredients are dissolved.
  4. Spread the marinade over the lamb and the potatoes.
  5. Add the water into the baking pan, and cover with parchment paper and aluminum foil.
  6. Roast for 3 hours. Then, uncover the baking pan and roast for 30-40 minutes until golden and enjoy with a glass of Geroklima by “Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades”.
